Calling All Local 2068 Members to Come March on July 4th
Join Local 2068 Leadership, FCFRD Leadership, Your Shift, The Recruits and Retirees to march in the 2023 Fairfax City Independence Day Parade. FCFRD Apparatus will be part of the parade. Come show your shift, station, Department & Local 2068 Pride!
We will be meeting in Division 7 (Parking lot behind the Old Court House & Sheriffs Office), Parking is available in the Courthouse parking Garage. Local 2068 is sponsoring a Post-Parade Family Social that will feature live music by the Northern Virginia Firefighters’ Emerald Society Pipe Band.
IMPORTANT TIMES
- 0700 hours – Road Closures Start
- 0800 hours – Traffic Congestion Begins
- 0900 hours – Arrive in Division 7 Staging Area
- 1000 hours – Parade Begins
- 1130-1530 hours – Post-Parade Local 2068 Family Social

Join Local 2068 for food, fun, family, music and fellowship at The Auld Shebeen – 3971 Chain Bridge Rd, Fairfax, VA 22030 following the 4th of July Parade.
The Northern Virginia Emerald Society Pipe Band will be in attendance for your musical enjoyment!
Buffet Items will include Spinach & Artichoke Dip, Pretzel Bites, Meatballs & Sausage Rolls.
Kids Items will include Mac & Cheese and Hotdogs.
Beverages will include Iced Tea & Soft Drinks.
*Regular menu items will be available at members own cost.
*Alcoholic beverages available for purchase by those of legal drink age.
The Auld Shebeen is located at the intersection of Chain Bridge Rd & North St. Local 2068 has reserved the basement, enter from the North St side of the building and is walking distance from the parking garage.
